To ensure the best results from your Dermal Filler treatment, it’s important to follow a few simple aftercare guidelines: • Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours (unless instructed otherwise by your clinician). • Avoid vigorous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and sun exposure for 48 hours, as heat and increased blood flow can worsen swelling. • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, especially if you are prone to bruising. • Apply ice gently (wrapped in a clean cloth) to help minimise any swelling or redness. • Avoid makeup on the treated areas for 12–24 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or infection. • Avoid other facial treatments (such as facials, chemical peels, microneedling, or laser procedures) for at least 2 weeks. • Sleep on your back if possible on the first night to avoid putting pressure on the treated areas. • Follow any specific instructions provided by your clinician. To ensure the safest and most effective results from your Dermal Filler treatment, we recommend the following preparation steps: 1. Avoid certain medications and supplements If possible, avoid blood-thinning medications for a few days prior to treatment, such as: • Aspirin • Ibuprofen • Naproxen • Fish oil • Vitamin E • Ginkgo biloba These can increase the risk of bruising for both Botox and Dermal Fillers. (Always consult your GP if you are prescribed these medications.) 2. Limit alcohol • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling. 3. Skin care • Arrive with clean skin free from makeup, SPF, or heavy skincare products. • Avoid applying active skincare (e.g., retinol, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide) on the day of treatment, particularly if you are receiving Dermal Fillers. 4. Health considerations • Inform your clinician at Bloom By J of your full medical history, including any neuromuscular conditions, allergies, previous aesthetic treatments or any recent procedures or vaccinations. • Avoid treatment if you have an active infection, cold sore, or skin irritation at the injection site. 5.
